Choose a competent certifier<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brussels Environment illustrates it in its brochure The certifier’s visit<\/em><\/a> : the same terraced house can be rated F or C-, depending on whether certain supporting documents have been gathered or not<\/strong> (invoices, technical data sheets, photographs, and so on).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three classes apart. And in Brussels, an F falls under the renovation obligation by 2033. A C- does not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finding that evidence and explaining it to the owner is part of my job.<\/strong> A cheap, rushed certificate can cost you far more than the price difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> You book an appointment with me, online or by phone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> I call you before the visit to tell you which documents to gather. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong> On-site visit, roughly 1 to 2 hours depending on the property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.<\/strong> I send you the result of the calculation (draft certificate) and talk you through it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. <\/strong>Once we are both satisfied that everything is in order, I issue the official PEB\/EPB certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
